“How’s my hair?”
“Do I have stuff in my hair?”
Eddie shamelessly using his hair to flirt with pretty girls 🤣
The left side conversation and Ed scoffing at the liver and "pffft, we don't even know what that thing does" then commencing to drink himself to death at the end of ep 10.
Written for @lohrendrell because you shared this pic and my brain made words go brrrr (**** indicates where the first fic ends and the second begins)
"The fuck is this, Edward?" Izzy grumbled as he discovered the obscenely colourful sheet on Ed's messy desk. He held it up without turning around, showing Ed who was sitting on the couch behind him.
"Those? Oh I saw them in the shop and thought of you."
"What," Izzy pauses for effect, "about these made you think of me?" He turned around this time to raise an eyebrow at Ed, crossing his arms and probably crumpling the stupid sheet of colourful compliment stickers.
Ed got up in a languid move and swaggered towards Izzy.
"This," Ed said, as he took the sheet and scanned it for the correct sticker, "is a definite 'wow'", before sticking the pink sticker on Izzy's ass.
"And these? These are absolute stars", Ed continued as he stuck a pink sticker by Izzy's left eye, and a green one by his right.
"Big yes, for all of these," Ed said gently as he tried painstakingly to peel off ten 'yes' stickers. After four, he realised there were not enough, so he swapped to 'Yeah' as well, before sticking them to Izzy's fingers. "You know I love your hands." Izzy felt his face heat up.
"This? Super cool," he goes on, fighting the sheet for a second before getting a 'cool' sticker to stick by the swallow tattoo.
"And this? This does a good job. Well, it does a fantastic job but the stickers are too small for that," he goes on as he sticks a yellow star on Izzy's bottom lip. "Not so much for the communication side of things, but your mouth feels just..." Ed trails off with a moan, smirking at Izzy.
Izzy rolled his eyes, Ed was just as bad at communicating, having resorted to stickers, and terrible ones at that. He appreciated the thought though. Before Ed could continue sticking the stupid things on him and complimenting him in super awkward ways, Izzy kissed him. He had completely forgotten about the stupid little sticker stuck to his bottom lip. They broke apart laughing. Izzy peeled it off, sticking it on Ed's nose before kissing him again.
****
Izzy looks oddly nervous Ed thought as Izzy walked through the door into the apartment.
“You okay, Iz?” he asked, quickly going through where Izzy had said he would go before he left. There was nothing out of the ordinary he could think of, maybe he was just having an odd day.
Izzy moved towards the small whiteboard he used on days when words were hard. He picked up the accompanying pen, pulled the cap off with his teeth and scribbled something down before turning it around so Ed could read it.
Found something that gave me an idea. Pls dont laugh. Ed felt even more confused now.
"Of course not, talk to me?" A hint of concern edged into his voice.
Izzy hastily wiped the words off before scribbling more and turning the board around again.
I found these, thought they may be useful for days like now.
Ed took a moment to be grateful that he had learned quickly to read Izzy's (quite frankly terrible) handwriting, especially as it got wobblier and messier with stress and speed. Ed nodded.
"Okay, yeah, show me?"
Izzy took something from his back pocket, a folded sheet of what looked to be stickers. Many, many stickers. Shaped like… were those stars? As Izzy unfolded it, Ed saw they indeed were stars, in many different colours and with what appeared to be different texts on them. Izzy's hands shook a little as he handed it over.
"'Yes, cool, good job, wow, nice'" Ed read out. The sheet was covered in colourful stars, all with positive words written in them. Ed smiled a little as he looked up at Izzy, who refused to make eye contact.
"These are great!" Ed continued, as he peeled off a pink 'great' sticker. He got up in a fluid motion and stuck it on Izzy's cheek, just below the X tattooed below his eye. Izzy blushed a bright pink, Ed knew from experience the blush travelled all the way down his chest. He smiled at Izzy, he'd long gotten used to his partner's quiet days. Ed tilted Izzy's chin up so their eyes could meet, a soft smile on his face.
"Did you get these to be able to communicate how you feel?"
Izzy nodded, looking away from Ed again. Ed let him and looked at the other sheets, they were all stickers with positive words.
"This is great! I think we need to edit some of these though, there's a distinct lack of swear words. And I know things aren't always positive. Let me edit a sheet for you?" Izzy nodded and Ed wanted to get to work instantly, kissing his cheek, adding a green 'wow!' sticker below the pink 'great'.
"You're gorgeous and I love you, just remember that," he said gently as he moved away to the table with a permanent marker and one of the sheets.
Twenty minutes later, Ed felt like he had put most of Izzy's usual words on the sheet. There were many, many swear words alongside some words he could use to express negative emotions and opinions.
"There, I'm done. How's this?" Ed showed the sheet to Izzy, who had been sitting on the sofa scrolling on his phone. Izzy came over and perched on Ed's lap when he moved his chair back from the table. Izzy pressed a kiss to Ed's cheek, before looking down at the sheet.
Fuck. No. Fuck off. Terrible. Wanker. Awful. Stupid. Shit. Twat. Izzy grinned, these were perfect.
Izzy took the sheet and one of the others, as well as the whiteboard. Turning so Ed couldn't see what he was doing, izzy stuck some of the original stickers, some of the new stickers and scribbled a little. He turned it around to show Ed with a cheeky grin.
pls Fuck me, you Great! Twat.
Ed barked a laugh, "As you wish!"
The people are wagging their tongues a good deal about the late Queen having sent great sums of money to your Majesty, and that I have sent 200,000 ducats since I have been here. They say that it is through your Majesty that the country is in such want and that Calais was lost, and also that through your not coming to see the Queen our lady, she died of sorrow. The sorrow I feel, is that your Majesty should have allowed so much favour to be shown to this scurvy Lord Chamberlain Hastings, for it is he who is publishing these things and is the greatest enemy our country has.
