2. What was their first impression of each other?
Well I was absolutely smitten with him from the first moment I laid eyes on him lol! I mean, how could I not be? He was tall and handsome, even if he hadn’t really grown out of his gangly-ness yet. I always thought he was sensitive, or at least painfully shy, because it took him years and years to speak to me lol.
If you ask him, he says seeing me for the first time felt like “that scene in Wizard of Oz, you know the one where everything went from sepia to technicolor.”
5. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?
No way! Lol I was like, actively trying to get him to notice me because I had such a big crush on him! But then he went away for so long and I didn’t know why, and I thought it was such a shame -- but then to find out he had been thinking of me the whole time too just brought all those feelings back! I kept waiting and waiting for him to just fucking ask me out already, lol, and eventually we got there :)
5. What’s their height difference? Age difference?
Well with his boots he’s 6′5″, and I’m 5′7″, so it looks a little like this:

8. Who gets jealous easier?
Neither of us really get jealous, we’ve been together too long for that lol. He’s much more prone to getting possessive and protective. Like he knows that i’ve only got eyes for him, you know? He just really doesn’t fuck around with people trying to bother me.
9. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?
Me, all the time lmao. And usually at the worst times/places, but I can’t help it! I like when he gets all riled up and has to go take me to a small room in the back somewhere lol ;)
5. Who’s the stricter parent?
This is such a great question! We’re both going to be strict about certain things. One of the biggest fears he had was that he’d turn into an overly controlling father that the kids would grow up to hate, like his father had been, so we work really hard to have an equal playing ground of things we take more seriously than other things.
Granted our oldest is just about to turn two, so the discipline is mostly “i’m trying to keep you safe because you are a precious lil angel toddler who doesn’t know that sharp things can hurt you” themed, but we’ve talked about it and when they all grow up there will definitely not be a singular “fun” parent and a “strict” parent -- we’ll each be both in our own ways lol.
6. Who worries the most?
Flip is, and I think it’s really very sweet. He honestly never imagined he’d have the life he has, and particularly after the war and developing PTSD he’s just so grateful to even come back home at all, that he can sometimes worry a little too much about all of us. I worry about things too, of course, but it’s more of a constant thing for him, unfortunately.
7. Who kills the bugs in the house?
Flip 1000000% Flip I hate bugs I don’t want anything to do with them I will scream and jump up onto the furniture. I once called him at work and made him come home because of it, lol. He’s a hunter, so he has no issue killing things like that, thank god. I just hate hate hate when they scurry -- or god forbid fly.
