I feel like I’m in the minority but I do not want Joe on the sidelines if he’s still on the scooter/crutches or in a boot. It’s just asking for an accident to happen and his dumbass would try come back too soon 😭 Some were saying he could be up in the coaching booth which is an idea if he wants to. He might not want to be at the stadium yet 🤷🏽‍♀️

nah i don’t think you’re in the minority at all! like i dunno, i’m torn because tbh i MISS him! the fans got to see him for exactly 1.5 games before he was hurt again :( the players!! certainly miss him with everything going on. like all of us could use the morale boost i think for this first home game back since the injury. 

but obviously that isn’t more important than his health! yes he was on the sideline for the wrist injury, but it was definitely easier for him to move out of the way if he needed to! now there’s reports he’s walking around the facility but even then…like you don’t wanna push it?? 

i do like the idea of him being in the booth somehow. i dunno if i’ve ever actually seen a player up there with the coaches before?? but i think it would be super fun to see lmao. give him a headset again! hell, maybe his voice in jake’s ear could make a real difference?? 

but yeah, i guess we’ll see what happens? like i said earlier, i feel like if he is mobile enough, he’s gonna push to be out there lol. and like k8 mentioned, it’s hard to imagine him being satisfied sitting at home while his team is playing 20 minutes away. but then maybe this is the one time ja’marr gets through to him?? (maybe ja’marr just locks him in his house somehow. also a possibility.) like he was soooo adamant and immediate in his “hell no we don’t need you out here just REST” answer lmao. we'll seeeeeeee.

I can’t stop think about how after that first night at Joes. After Vito if officially discharged from duty. He wakes up to his mom calling. When he asks how she got the number. I don’t think she ever explains? At first I just assumed she’d found out where Vito went and got Joe’s number from someone.

than I thought about it more. Joe probably felt immensely guilty about Vito being shipped off to war. In my head he probably went to their apartment with the number hastily written on a piece of paper. Either giving it to Vito’s mom, or to Francesca. Knowing that they likely didn’t appreciate him in Vito’s life. Yet still offering a helping hand in the form of his phone number.

I doubt they ever called him in the two years Vito was gone. But ugh oh Joe 😔
