i know you probably meant this in a nsfw way, but ugh i genuinely can’t stop thinking about the idea that patrick was sleeping around with people after the breakup(s) in order to fill the void. like he lost his best friend and his girlfriend, and then they started dating.. i would lose it. i headcanon that he slept with someone the night after tashi’s injury/the split from art and accidentally started to cry when he was inside them so they had to stop. and, in my mind, he doesn’t cry in front of people—ever—he hates it—so that was the marker of a real low-point for him.

but yea. i think he really needed someone to sit down with him and genuinely listen. he needed someone to rub his back and let him talk about everything that was bothering him, reassuring him that he wasn’t alone and that things will get better eventually and that what happened to him wasn’t fair or kind.
