ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL | Series 6 Episode 3 — Captain Farnon?
August 15, 1945, besides "oh yes, the war ended" we get this very important monumental action!!
Of course Siegfried was an idiot for not letting the others know what he was up to, but I actually felt bad for him when he had to defend himself about going after Charlotte. Given how upset he got, he clearly doesn’t have a track record for going after much younger women, so why they assumed he now would, and the way Tristan and James were looking at him as if to say “yeah, right” (especially after Siegfried’s reaction to Audrey leaving and his little outburst to James when looking for Fly and the flock), I’m not surprised he was insulted.
I don’t believe Audrey really believed it. I think she was just confused, and sad that she hadn’t already known what was going on, as we found out at the end. And she was right to tell him. I did enjoy Siegfried making sure she knew he would never, though.
And as a viewer, I knew it wasn’t going that way and that Siegfried was after something else - it’s ACGAS. Can you imagine? 🙈
He seems so gentle.
Dear Diary, this evening I witnessed a mustachio gentleman's lips on Mrs. Hall's lovely face. I was in the middle of paying Mrs. Hall a very good compliment on her wisdom and its benefits on me when she rushed off! Shocked, I went to collect her thinking that she, as usual, was so committed to hosting duties that she could not fully enjoy my good company when I came across the display of which I have already written. Mrs. Hall! I'm shocked, a married woman of her religiosity in a public establishment! Wasn't this the same chap who mere months ago surprised Mrs. Hall with a date! She was so out of sorts when she came home from that fiasco that it took my quick thinking to invite her along for a ride in Tristan's rust bucket to snap her out of it. I mean, really, she should not have been so surprised that the middle-aged bachelor had desired an outing with her. I shuttered to have thought what kind of funny business he had tried but now...well, I don't know what to think! How long has this been going on? Why didn't I know?! Now that I do.... well....I don't know if I'll ever be able to walk through my own hallway where this event occurred. As it is, I can't get it to stop playing through my mind. Merry Blood Christmas indeed. ~ S. Farnon 24th December, 1939
It's a date. No matter how you slice it that it is a date. The employer/employee line is finally gome.
Bring on episode 6.
Just rewatched. Wondering, if there might have been another arm touch, as a good night. They are so close they would have to get around each other for A to leave the room. He made sure as his way to apologize to move closer to her. My God the longest slow burn,...
