This Year’s Election

So it's 2016 and America has voted! I do believeth that Hell has frozen over! 

 Do not be shocked that we voted in this executive entrepreneur who is a manipulative, degrading, pompous, arrogant, opinionated, and a downright unprofessional person. And now we are crying over it as our neighbors scratch their heads and the world is wondering how? Well for this answer we need to look at ourselves America. Of course not personally because we all do not feel the same otherwise the election would have been completely unanimous. I just mean America as a living breathing country. I realize our view on history is standard textbook of just what we learned in grade school. But need I remind you that the grade school history left out all the juicy details. Like for example why America was really started. It was the Puritans with all their puritan ways wanting to keep the strict religious style and start their own government away from the mother country. Looking back at this you must see how much of a child America is wanting to spread it wings a fly off on its own. Fast forward to today we still haven’t established or committed to who we truly are, I feel as though we are stuck at the stage of self-discovery. We think "we've come soooo far" but why, how could we think we've even grown into a rational adult yet. We thought we had religious freedom but every time we get attacked by a certain foreign group we ostracize the entire Muslim community, when a lot of them just follow the Islamic faith not the crazed extremist themselves. We thought we had woman’s rights but with a stipulation of the government deciding whether or not women are allowed to have an abortion or not; even if its medically necessary physically or mentally. We thought we had a handle on racism with equal rights but we still have clear  lines drawn in the sand against every race, I am talking to all the #lives matter. We thought we had gay rights when we just gained marriage equality but we just elected in a very conservative vice president who could possibly throw a wrench into the equality rights.

We can't seem to get or shit together come on  America grow up!

Needless to say I am not happy with the election, when has america ever please the entire nation with the election. I am trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel. And I think the only good that could come of this is a strip down of this health care reform. Just for the sake of those who are using it now ...No! I don't think it's a good idea to dismantle it completely. But for the less fortunate people who did find themselves in debt when they were fined for not having healthcare I think they're in for a treat. Maybe that is the only reason our new president elect won the office was to decrease taxes since everyone thinks that's the reason we are so poor.

I don't know. I don't have the answers. All I know is that we should stand united in fighting for our beliefs. Because that's America where we do get a choice although it only comes every four years and it is convoluted calculation to decide it ...we still get to.
