even though he isn’t a part of darkwood’s past, at least not currently, ravi knows that he’s a part of its future. hell, the last time he tried to break out of it and move to dublin, something bad happened to him. he isn’t trying to repeat the same mistakes anymore, but it’s hard. especially since he doesn’t know if choosing work is really all that bad.
every time that he approaches someone new he has to make a choice. is he here as a forensic fire investigator or as a simple newcommer? with the blackout he’s given a few days to relax, but the last time he blames the distraction of the town for not being able to solved things quicker. he has to find some form of balance.
that’s why when he spots a young woman walking through town he finds himself walking up to her before even making up his mind. shit. “hey there!” he calls out through the storm, quickly deciding which version of him she’s going to meet. “i’m ravi karim, i just got to town to investigate a recent fire.” he puts on a polite smile. “i was wondering if you could point me to the police station? i don’t know if they’re open, but just for reference in the mean time.”
