Erie seems to play very aggressively as some semblance of a mask- Aggression over possible quality? They can get the puck down to the net, but seem to fumble delivery. They also have a very harsh and intense response to just about any adversity or displeasuring experience, hence the quantity of roughing penalties that only seem to be growing!

The game hasn't calmed down, it's just gotten more tense the more ice time is present. Which has caused aggression in the Spirit ranks, especially when their Captain was threatened- They're beginning to bite back.

Spirit is fumbling a lot, and I can't help but wonder if those on net fumbles and uncoordinated movements are related to the lack of their typical forwards. Nicholas Sima, #92 and Alternate Captain, is currently out on suspension due to a supposed slew foot- A very disagreed upon call, but still. Sebastien Gervais, #15 and Alternate Captain, is also not present in the game tonight. And hasn't been for two games.

Another struggle with consistency would be the backup goalie for Spirit being at play, but that doesn't excuse the lack of forward work here- Especially given the Spirit have been playing with Kaleb Papineau, #31, for quite a while at this point. And have kept their work up quite strongly with him, even if he fumbles.

It seems to be a lapse in usual play for them, but they're getting it together- I'm not sure about Erie here though. That's able to be contested, especially because they seem to have all their usuals out tonight as far as I can tell.

Verdict?

Time will tell.
