Went to NyanCon this weekend. I had a absolute blast. All of the panels I attended was amazing accept for one of them. I liked the set up on the dealers room this time around a lot better than last year. It was a little out of the way of things but I liked it a lot better. It wasn't cramped like last year. I bought a beautiful piece of Rose (one of my all time favorite characters) that I'm hoping I can find a frame for. All props to ohmyemi (Emily Jack I believe). Find her art and blog at ohmyemi.com. I would recommend to check it out. Her art was my personal favorite at NyanCon. Not because the one I found was Rose Quartz, but for me it was visually pleasing and eye popping. They were colored nicely and it all goes together so beautifully. For me, her art was the most visually pleasing and put together art and well done. I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful piece.The panels I went to was Ohio cons- when, where and how much (no on showed up so no opinion), welcome to homestuck (this one was the one I didn't like) which super hero would win panel (this was a blast. The guys hosting it were hilarious) cards against humanity panel (this was run by the same guys as the superhero one and a r rating was appropriate and used well. I loved it the entire thing was hilarious but cut short buy a fire alarm) and the smash bros tournament (this was intense). I had a great time and left very happy. I saw a lot of great cosplays (not actually sure how to make that plural) with a obvious favorite. I hope I can make it there next year and I hope I can cosplay as well.
