"Don’t touch me."
Who knew three words could hurt so bad?Could stab you in the heartAs painful as a knife. There had been plenty of times in Archie's life when he felt like he was a monster, when he felt like he was a bad person, and now --Well it was no exception. It had never been someone he was in love with though, and perhaps that's what hurt the most. Made the words sting so bad, cut so deep. He knew he shouldn't have been mad about the fact she was hesitant about the marriage thing, and he shouldn't have stayed out all night because heck, of course that looked suspicious. He wasn't going to try and touch her again because if that's not what she wanted he wasn't going to push it. Even now he was going to treat Mia like the Princess he deemed her to be. He did need to get away however, because he was sure he'd break down in front of her if he didn't, he was sure he'd suffocate on how painful it was to hear three simple words. 'Don't touch me' It was like a trigger to him, eyebrows furrowing. He nodded simply, a weak smile curling on his features, hand raising to pull at his curls carefully as he's getting up from the bed, nodding and nodding like he's lost his mind. "Fine, I'll fucking leave you alone yeah? If that's what you want." And he just leaves, just like that because he has no words that he's sure will work, and those words --They just remind him of the monster he used to be, the monster he may still be.
