Final Photography - Bottles Only:

So I did the final photoshoots of my work today. It has taken me hours to take and edit over 2036 photos so I will be featuring all the photos within a few photos! I am so incredibly proud of myself for doing this project it is one of those I will always look back on and be like that took me months to do but it was so worth it! I will regret not having it done in time to submit to D&AD but I feel as I moulded and changed the brief to myself. I actually had a better outcome then I would of then rushing it all to completion. Also most go the paper used in the making of this is from G.F Smith’s recycled range it cost quite a bit but you can see later on it was totally worth it. One thing I would change is to of spent that bit more and got the laminated labels, I will look at doing this for D&AD. Oh Skin is finally complete!

These are the first round of photos I did with kiri this morning we have used a recycled cork board that I had lying around as the bottom because we felt that it complimented and enhanced the colours. Also a warm grey back drop with a very white light to seem almost very natural and welcoming. 

There is a view angles we have tired and some photos are not right at all. Although I believe we are trying again in the studio early tomorrow to get all the photo completely finished and done!

I know I’m back tracking over this but it is needed to show the development. 

These are the designs for the bottles this is the end of the process and the last bit before i sent them off to print for the labels. 

My mind has been kind of everywhere recently and I've been making all types of different versions over the last few weeks this was a hard one wether to have a colour code for each type of product or not to have one. I ended up deciding that it would be a good idea to have a colour code. These are some of the variations I came up with.

After this I got some feedback and they 3 people each picked a logo and so there was 3. 

1. Smiley face = means welcoming and inviting

2. Female and Male gender symbol = broken the gender barrier / also looks like a smile and a nose. 2 birds ;)

3. same as number 2 but upside down = I’m not sure about this one as it is upside down I see it could have 2 meanings 1. we are turning the beauty industry upside down(positive outlook) 2. Its upside-down and could seem negative. 

Because of placing the icon and text together unfortunately the capital letters do not look quite right with how strong the lines are in the icons. I decided to try the other typefaces to see if it was that and no it wasn't it. Next I tired going back to Title Case and a heavy weight the same as the icon in line thickness. Then I tired the chosen two logos now and number two icon worked the best.
