These are some of the editorial shots from my inspiration finding. I always go back to this website called Ones 2 Watch its such an inspiration to me, as it kind of steams from what we are trying to do but in a different way our own.

Moodboard 3: This idea is about colour and the expression of colour through materials, sparkles, mesh, netting and clothing, underwear, exploring darker themes. An idea of making and design editorial spreads online as interviews, stories and in the magazine, making online more of an ongoing with more themes.
SO this was my first Idea. Locations, I had doubts about wether to go for this as an idea as its a lot of work but I thought if we want to do something a little different then why not lets go for it. Going on location, lakes, seasides, beaches, towns, cities, all sorts of things. I was also experimenting with the idea of backgrounds. My sister watched my favourite show ever the other day ‘Freaks and Geeks’ Netflix has realised it like how cool is that. Anyway she was round at Christmas and the opening credits they are all having there pictures taken in the style of that old school grey blue backdrop, then I found on ones2watch a editorial shoot using the same backdrop and I instantly was like yes yes like this a lot.
I want typography to play a biggish part than normal in this issue.
So me and Laura are back together for something special. The bi-annual un|scene magazine. As we didn't get a chance to do it together last time we are redoing issue 2 as a cola issue and bringing in some of our friends and contacts to collaborate too.
This has been a month in the making so far. We are meeting back up today to so eachother our research mood boards and go through realising our submission designs and the photography for that. Laura has her first shoot on Saturday which is mega exciting so the pictures of that will be realised soon. I’m busy looking and redesigning our website, Instagram and all sorts. Over today and tomorrow I will be back logging my blog of all this magazine. Ideas, mood boards, research, inspiration. So watch this space we are back!
This was the development of me printing on the chosen GFSmith Paper. This was a very fun day. Maying with different types of card and paper.
These are the Spreads I did for Mark Kiszely that I am finally publishing, His photos where featured on Wonderland magazine. I am very happy for him that he had his photos published and I am very honoured he gave me the chance to layout for him. Thank you also to theodora for recommending me to Mark. I learned a lot from Mark he gave me so awesome and very detailed feedback and I have already started making changed to the way I layout.
Very successful project that went only for two months. A lot of learning and good experiences learned form this project.
This the website I have been working on for the last month the development work will be up in my note books. The Photography has had a lot of stressful event me and Kiri had a whole shoot planned and we did the shoot kiri was editing last week and only told me two days ago that she let her hard drive on a train and has no back up so I have no photos. Lucky I had a back up plan but it was a long shot I remembered that one of the photographers Leigh Jackman who submitted work to the last un|scene issue, her portrait form that would perfect for this so I rang he and she said it would be okay to use that series as I layed them out beautifully last time! Brilliant It really makes this piece they are really strong black and white photos.
I have also done a new style of navigation system which uses the different the 3 different typefaces for the brand. Works like a hover navigation, it also scroll and will move the text to the left and bring in more texts to explore the navigation more to make it more interactive, my thought was to get the target audience to become more involved with the website it is mainly all about the stories as the brand is not just about the products but about the people that use them.

So I did the final photoshoots of my work today. It has taken me hours to take and edit over 2036 photos so I will be featuring all the photos within a few photos! I am so incredibly proud of myself for doing this project it is one of those I will always look back on and be like that took me months to do but it was so worth it! I will regret not having it done in time to submit to D&AD but I feel as I moulded and changed the brief to myself. I actually had a better outcome then I would of then rushing it all to completion. Also most go the paper used in the making of this is from G.F Smith’s recycled range it cost quite a bit but you can see later on it was totally worth it. One thing I would change is to of spent that bit more and got the laminated labels, I will look at doing this for D&AD. Oh Skin is finally complete!
These are some go my favourite layout spreads. We didn't take photos of every spread only our favourites. But these were mine, probably because thesis 3 took the most time to get write and went through various variations and revisions. With these three I tired to use the strongest piece of each photo as a piece of inspiration for example the film boards that where on the 3rd spread. The way the colour clashed on the 1st spread so i decided to clash them even more by overlapping them then again onto the other page.
These are the final images from Lucy Leach’s Look Book today we did this shoot and it looks so professional! Lucy decided to have a play around with the lighting at first I wasn't sure but then when she was zooming into the book the clarity was amazing. Instead of putting the book down on the back drop we decided to put the book on top of a block so we could get more of an intense shadow as the back drop we both wanted it to be a plain warm grey colour so it would not distract from the layouts and photography of Lucy’s.
I have decided though when I have more time i will go back and take my own photos as well as I enjoy taking my own photos.
Overall this was a very successful shoot.
Lucy sent me a testimonial today and it is so lovely. Has been a pleasure to work with her! I will be putting this onto my website. And first testimonial for my editorial business ‘For The Stories’

Development on the store design, Materials purposed are MDF Wall With the Logo set out of the wall, materials for counter tops are cork or MDF.
I have loved doing this as I have never done this kind if thing before it is interesting for using ideas form different spaces and just designing it and seeing where it takes the design.
Sneak Peak of the Store design I have one for ‘Oh Skin’ Im really excited about this! It took me hours and hours if work 19 hours over 2 days in total.
These are the first round of photos I did with kiri this morning we have used a recycled cork board that I had lying around as the bottom because we felt that it complimented and enhanced the colours. Also a warm grey back drop with a very white light to seem almost very natural and welcoming.
There is a view angles we have tired and some photos are not right at all. Although I believe we are trying again in the studio early tomorrow to get all the photo completely finished and done!
