6: Bottom!Charles or Top!Charles?
Lolol, oh man. Ok, contrary to popular belief (and some lovely anons who try to badmouth me to newbies - oh yes, I see you, and I know who you are too) I have absolutely nothing against top!Erik. I read it and write it, and I like it just as much as top!Charles - if it’s done well.
However, when I started reading fics I noticed that like 90% of the porn was top!Erik and I didn’t get why, both of them are completely versatile to me. Moreover, at least half of the time ‘bottoming’ meant that Charles got a total character make-over where he was either a ditz-y, chubby, self-conscious, innocent, girly girl who whimpers and cries his way through that AMAZING sex with this super manly, muscular man who is at least five feet taller than him. Or a sexy vixen with an asshole more pliable than the most pliable vagina, who lustily spreads his legs for all the strong, super dominant men and for some reason forgets that he has a penis too.
The character is nothing like this, both actors don’t look anything like the way they’re described and it started to grate on me. Add the fics I read for the recblog that I wouldn’t have read otherwise and I developed an allergy against those fics where Charles is a stereotypical gay porn twink/ yaoi uke/inspired-by-internalised-misogyny girl.
7: Who do you prefer physically and why – Charles or Erik?
Hahaha, she’s laughing because there’s zero competition. Nada. Zilch. It’s Charles, always has been, always will be. Why? Because he’s played by James and I haven’t found Fassbender attractive for like the last three years.
24: How do you think the beach scene should have ended?
Oh there are a million options, starting with Charles not screaming “They’re just following orders”. I also always felt that the whole scene was a rushed way to set Magneto up as the villain/anti-hero and it deserved a less abrupt end and/or more elaboration on what it did to Erik mentally. Most important of all though: HE SHOULDN’T HAVE JUST LEFT THEM THERE OMG!!!
