Always got room for dessert 🤤. Honey butter chips with vanilla ice cream. The chili powder gave it a nice kick. Would definitely try it again and you should too. #oijinyc #oiji #nyceats #icecream #desserts #foodporn #dessertporn (at OIJI)

Last nights culinary adventure with @theunknownjfk @matanofri at @oijinyc. Mushroom salad was a winner. Coating of rice flour was a nice touch. #oijinyc #oiji #koreanfood #nyceats #foodporn (at OIJI)

Ughhhhhhhh
So I have a small crush on this bartender. I went to this nice modern Korean restaurant in NYC called Oiji and sat at the bar. In the beginning I didn’t really notice him cause I was too into the menu (ofc), but then I noticed he was kinda cute and extremely considerate. The way he made the drinks was very quick, precise, and professional..kinda cool to watch. And he was so funny and easy to talk to. He recommended a drink from the menu which was FUCKING DELICIOUS. If I wasn’t with my mom, I would have ordered probably another 2. It was seriously the BEST cocktail I’ve had…..this completely beats Peché out of the field.
We talked occasionally while he attended to other customers at the bar. And he talked a lot about himself and asked me questions too. Then he offered to make me a customized drink on the house based on random questions that he asked me which was SO CUTE. AGHHH. Like “are you a cat or dog person?” “Pearl Jam or nirvana?” “Which decade were you born in?” (which was a pretty clever way to get my age). It was all so rom-comesque. In the end it was a fruity whiskey drink that was ALSO FUCKING DELICIOUS. Like excuse me every drink I’ve ever had with whiskey in it has honestly been nasty af. And here comes this cute funny bartender who just steals my heart away with two cocktails and his sunny disposition.
Also he told me his name is Ryan and that he’s 25. And he spoke to me in some really bad Chinese. MY HEART.
If he hadn’t known I was from Houston maybe he would have asked me out. Packing up and moving my bags to NYC so I can meet more foodies like him. Bye Houston you’ve been good to me.

Hey, I just saw your post in the ouji tag and I'm afraid I have to say you'll have a hard time finding something that works for a "sweet" ouji style. Most stuff is, indeed, goth-y or pitate-y. There is more classic stuff out there, Innocent World sell pants sometimes. And Taobao brands, I feel, experiment more with more classic styles too. Either way, collecting an ouji wardrobe is difficult. The sizes aren't as flexible as in lolita. Wish you the best at finding your way in the style!
Thank you so much for responding! I realize it’s going to be quite hard, but after making that post I kinda scoured the internet for ideas and sources and actually had more than a few results. The fun thing about making coordinates is that they are, indeed, coordinates. Collections of pieces from all kinds of sources like Taobao as you mentioned, and things I’m secretly planning to design on my own. With great power comes great responsibility. I just hope that boystyle in general can have a flush of sweet someday. “ouiji” or not
But let’s be honest, it’s all adorable.
