kunimi akira. and,,, and the other two cause i love 'em.

I remember when I was a kid, there was an episode of Looney Toons where a mad scientist had made a doll to be his perfect wife, but he needed a heart to complete her... it, of course, led to Antics, capital A, but the idea stuck with me. So, for horror: Oikawa or Kuroo is in the same situation, in need of a heart/soul to bring their bride to life, and Yamaguchi or Kunimi as the unwilling donor.

Whenever Tooru thinks about how close his bride is to being finished, his heart flutters a little in his chest; his limbs and internal wiring are all together, his body limp in the guest bedroom of Tooru’s apartment as his chest lay open and empty. His Iwa-chan is almost perfect, but the heart, the soul he’d had before just wasn’t what Tooru was looking for. He’d been far too brash and mean, and even after rewiring the brain he was just still too cold-hearted for Tooru’s liking. Those muscular arms are absolutely delectable with how well sculpted they are, but they aren’t very fun to enjoy when they’re punching him. 

So his heart needed replacing. And Kunimi Akira is just the person to provide that heart for him. 

Akira-chan is a stubborn little thing. He’s generally quite lazy and listless, and when he doesn’t want to do something he’ll bitch and moan, but even still Akira has a natural wit that matches Tooru’s quite well. It’d s plus that he’s not as violence-based when trying to come up with solutions to problems. Unlike Iwa-chan’s old heart. His bride’s personality needs to be complimentary to Tooru’s own, not a ruthless brute. 

The stubbornness does pose one small issue, however. 

“Akira-chan, if you keep moving I’m going to hurt you~” 

Akira, struggling against the rope binding his hands to the table, grunts and tries to speak from behind his gag. Tooru clucks his tongue. 

“What I’m doing right now isn’t going to hurt if you just cooperate. You’ll be unconscious. But if you keep moving, I’m not going to be able to stick you with the sedatives, and I’m on a bit of a time crunch, Akira-chan. So please stop moving~” 

Akira’s eyes harden and he growls; he doesn’t stop trying to wriggle out of his restraints. Tooru sighs. He sets the syringe down on the table next to him and grabs a knife instead. 

“Alright. We’ll do it the hard way, then...”

whoops, sorry i got busy for a couple of days. here’s the pic I drew for a friend’s bday who’s got me hooked on oikuni a little, yet another kunimi rarepair that makes me cry from lack of content :P

I didn’t think much of this ship until I thought about it and...

I couldn’t choose between KinKuni or IwaKin, but if it was IwaKin... THIS would be their counterpart.

Tooth-rottingly sweet coffee dates. Literally, because Oikawa has a very particular latte he never strays from that has like tons of sugar and masses of cream, and he buys Kunimi more salted caramel chocolates than he can physically eat and even ends up having to take a doggy bag.

Oikawa tries everything in his power to make Kunimi smile as much as possible. This earns him little bruises on his good knee whenever Kunimi gets too embarrassed, but he doesn't care because Kunimi looks cute when he's blushing.

Matching bitchfaces.

Oh, and their matching dislike for Kageyama. Kunimi knows more dirt about Kags than Oikawa, and revels in telling him e v e r y t h i n g.

Kunimi isn't above teasing Oikawa, like anyone, and he's usually the more flustered of the two despite Kunimi's lack of effort. Anything Oikawa does rash is easily quelled by a kiss on the cheek because he practically melts.

Bonus when Oikawa is being particularly down on himself, Kunimi will pull him aside and tell him how much he's valued. When Oikawa first discovers that Kunimi has a real way with words, he's pleasantly surprised. He finds out why when Kindaichi has a bad panic attack in front of the team and Kunimi calms him down.

When the team finds out about the two, they're fully supportive. 

Hanamaki lost a bet to Matsukawa. He’s always been too observant for his own good.

Iwaizumi is apprehensive, threatens to pummel Oikawa if anything bad happens, and warns Kunimi of everything he has already dealt with. Kunimi has no issues, says as much but thanks him for his concern, and that's as much as Iwaizumi really says on the matter.

Kindaichi already knew way beforehand since Kunimi never keeps a secret from him, but officially gives his blessing with lots of blushing and a warning that he'll lose all respect he has for Oikawa if he hurts Kunimi. It's probably the scariest Kindaichi has ever been, saying that, and even though it doesn't seem much of a threat, Oikawa thinks he would rather die than be seen like that by one of his precious kouhai.

But he treats Kunimi like a prince anyway, threat or no.

Oikawa offered the glass as he took the seat beside Kunimi’s, still sneaking glances at his face. It was angular, very little fat to his cheeks, but his bangs softened his features a fair bit. His face was small for his height but not overly so, especially considering his large eyes. He had a delicate button nose and thin eyebrows. Even with the yellow-orange glow, Oikawa noticed his pale complexion, indicating that he didn’t go out much. Probably had little interest in doing so.

And here Oikawa thought he’d already had his fill of beautiful people. The world was just full of surprises.
