I’ve seen this picture floating around the internet as clipart, but couldn’t find a source. Then I found this Roman lamp drawing:

It’s clear the 1857 image is based on the 1691 print, but I’m so curious is there was an actual oil lamp that looked like that. I’ve only found one two tailed Triton on ancient oil lamps, and it’s in a completely different style:

So while I now know where that clip art came from, I still don't know if there was an actual Roman lamp that looked like that. And I also wonder who on earth looked at a two-tailed Triton and said, yeah... that's a good picture for a... rudder. Because he's holding an oar.
