7x17 born again identity au but when dean finds cas he’s depowered (like, he didn’t die when he went into the reservoir, but he wasn’t doing too hot either and now he’s pretty much human) and he can’t heal sam. and sam dies, hurting and terrified and unable to recognize dean. who then does his best to beat castiel to death
