i also think that in a decent amount of michael's trials he doesn't actually kill anyone? and not for a lack of ability, but simply because he doesn't want to because the stalking part of his killing ritual is arguably more important to him than the actual killing. and the entity probably doesn't love this, but I think he coasts by on being really good at being weird and off-putting lmao. there's no reliable way for the survivors to predict if he's actually going to attack them in any given trial, so his antics still create a decent amount of fear/emotion for the entity to feed on.
