i'm also 16 and i have ocd. most of the time my compulsions are in my head and i only have a few physical ones. the ones in my head scare me a bunch and stuff and i've been diagnosed by my psychologist but for some reason i almost feel guilty saying i have ocd because i don't have the kind of compulsions most people associate the disorder with. sometimes i even convince myself that maybe i don't even have ocd and my obsessions are just legitimate concerns. is this normal?
that’s absolutely normal! i’m not sure if it’s an ocd thing or something else but a LOT of people worry/think that they don’t actually have ocd. there are so many different types of ocd, just because you don’t fit the stereotype of what people associate ocd with, doesn’t mean you don’t have it. your psychologist knows what they’re talking about, it’s okay!! :)
