To quote Etta James — AT LAST!! These two irises bloomed today. By the count of other buds, there should be at least ten more blossoms in the next few days. Even though they are blooming a little later this year, it was worth the wait. While out strolling yesterday afternoon, I noted that two of our huge crepe myrtle bushes are probably dead. I think the bad freeze we had last month got them. We have had one of them for almost 30 years. One of the redbud trees is starting to bloom. Dandelions are all over the yard. What a pretty sight!! I do not know what the little purple flower is, but it is pretty. Clover pods are popping up all over the property. We are still waiting on the irises to open. We have quite a few buds.
