Max doesn't have friends (right now), but he does sometimes have alliances
It's possible it's a coincidence of course - they happen even if kayfabe. Maybe Don and Max just separately had issues with Jetset Rodeo - or were willing to take the opportunity, when Hangman was distracted with something else. But they did work like a well-oiled machine - it's possible there's collusion behind the scenes.
I don't totally trust Don with Max - for general reasons, as well as some personal history they have. And it seems like they're going to be at loggerheads when Andrade's going after the world title. But I think it'd be interesting if they do have a businesslike relationship, sometimes. The DCF (and Max) are hard to ignore in AEW at the moment. Also, their combined shenanigans could be legendary
I truly have no idea what Max is talking about with a press conference next week - apparently it's a thing, because they put up a graphic, but I don't remember AEW doing that before a PPV or match before. Will there...be journalists? Will they be taking questions? Is it a post-show thing? Intrigued to find out. I love Max's press conferences ๐ฅฐ

Ciampa versus FTR was not something I was expecting, but I don't know the history I guess. I'm assuming Ciampa will be teaming up with Mark in the near future, and that's what a lot of this is leading to, but we shall see.
If we're heading for Jack vs Ricochet again at Revolution...the thing is that it's on the Ides of March, and Jack is the main person I associate with knives in AEW, and he's also had snake and knifed skull motifs on his gear in recent months. And I don't know if that means something ๐

It was a very good, solid match, but I wasn't really expecting Rosa to win when they really seem to be building up to a Kris-Thekla rematch
And I did think it might be a place Thunder got brutalised and attacked post-match to build more heat between Thekla and Kris, but I wasn't sure if El Paso was a place they would do that, given her links to Texas. But they did.
Kris with a definite Terminator vibe, tbh. Or maybe Xenomorph. But one that likes Thunder Rosa at least.
Although her loyalties have been tenuous when a belt's on the line before...
That was great Trios match at the end, but it still seems like a shame the women's world title didn't get to bookend the show like the men's title. But it is what it is.
With Kevin injured and Hangman's focus split, I figured they'd drop the titles - but I'm just really happy for Mark Davis, to be honest. Who knows what the backstage plans have been, but it did seem like Aussie Open might get the tag titles in 2023 before Mark got injured, and then after Kyle went more singles, like Davis and Doyle might get them, and then Jake got injured. It's nice that he has gotten a title after all that - he deserves it, and he's more than good enough for it. And with an Aussie Open reunion of sorts! \o/
And now Kyle, Okada and Mark are bound together, for at least a while
