SECOND
Redesigns of characters I've had for a veeeryy long time, around a decade in fact, and I've finally given them redesigns. Lore is still in the works, but they'll all be in the Second Chance timeline, just as all my old characters do.
The first two are old adopts, and the last one is one i made myself.
This is Oreo the Rat Dove! I haven't figured out the gender of them yet. They're going to be close friends with Luna and Ames.
I've had Oreo since April 20th, 2016.
Next up is Mynette the Deer! I don't have any lore ideas for her yet, but she's really sweet and she lives just outside Soleanna city.
I've had Mynette since December 29th, 2015.
Last, but definitely not least, is Diana the Hedgehog. She's definitely friends with Sugar and Crys, possibly Mynette as well. I'm debating on whether to put her in the Neutral Timeline or not, but she's definitely in Second Chance as of right now.
She's the first character i ever drew myself without a base or via recolor, back on January 30th, 2016 when i was only 15, and still to this day i use her as proof that anyone can become a good artist no matter how much they think their art sucks, or they lament not being born with 'artistic talent.'
With that in mind, I saw it fitting to redraw this scene to see how far I've evolved as an artist. I think little me would have been over the moon if she'd been able to see it, or knew that we'd make it as an artist one day and we didn't give up.
I hold these guys very close to my heart, especially Diana, and it feels amazing to see them again in present day, doesn't feel real honestly. There's been a lot of stuff that's happened recently that doesn't feel real, in a good way of course. But seeing my babies realized in the modern day has made me, honestly kind of emotional. I hope to give more of my babies modern day designs. Over 75% of them have been stuck in the past for around an entire decade.
Anyways, this took longer than I'd like to admit to write, i may or may not have burst into tears a couple times, whoops ^^'
