I’d still never want to like…openly INVITE a flamewar whilst online, but I have noticed a significant shift in the last maybe 2-3 years for me as a woman of a certain age.
I’m much MUCH more likely to actually tell someone to go to hell and then block them now, rather than just not engaging or — worse — throwing out some “I love everyone, but, maybe you could be a little nicer??? 🥺” bullshit. I’m not unhappy about this.

Not to be 100 years old, but: actual humans, younger than I, regularly (or, frankly EVER) send VOICE MEMOS to their friends (or anyone?) ??!
If this is true, I never want to hear anyone else on this godforsaken site complain about having to place a phone call or leave a voicemail (both of which I ALSO hate btw, #oldmillennialsinventedhatingthephone) ever again.
I spent part of today in a place I hadn't been to since several months before covid, and when I was in a very, very different place in my life in a lot of ways (and somewhere I'd spent tons of time for many years before that), and it was...weird. Mostly a good weird, but weird. Nostalgic and sad and happy and bittersweet. Standing in a particular spot and thinking about how I always used to wait for the bus on this corner, or seeing the spot I hosted a happy hour at, or the place where my friends used to take me every year for lunch on my birthday that's been closed for years already or whatever. Happy memories of being in my 20s. It's weird to realize how long ago some of that stuff happened to me now.
I can't stop thinking about the fact when me and my family went to a place with a bunch of country flags my Grandma mistook the Taiwan flag for the China flag.
Just some proof that I’m indeed still alive and doing stuff.
Staying home all day really lends itself to knitting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So I’m making a shit ton of mitered square blankets for my family, cause I have that time!
