I love this performance of No One Else, because it's Allison doing what she does - connecting emotionally with a song and telling the truth of the song.

Interesting Factoids:

No One Else was written by Kara Dioguardi, Greg Wells, and Pink.  Kara, a judge on Season 8 and 9 of American Idol, held onto the song for 5 years after writing it, waiting for a singer she felt could convey the emotion as Dioguardi wanted it conveyed.

Allison wrote one song on her debut album, Just Like You.  The song was called You Don't Know Me and she has first writing credit on it.  Co-writers include: Mitch Allan, David Bassett, and David Hodges

Adam & Allison - sure I could have added this to yesterdays AI Journey posts, but this was SO awesome that it needed to Headline its own category.  Top 4 Rock Week they had two performances each - a solo and a duet.  Adam and Allison joined forces on Foghat's Slow Ride. Is it possible not to have a big cheesy grin at the end when they triumphantly embrace? ◔ ◡ ◔

Allison opened for Adam's headlining US Glam Nation Tour (more on that later)

She appeared in Adam's If I Had You video (along with almost every friend imaginable.  Damn he had/has a lot of friend.  Can I be your friend too Adam?)

Top 10 Motown Week Adam encouraged Allison to choose Papa Was a Rolling Stone (The Temptations) for her performance song. After being bottom 3 the previous week, that performance helped keep her safe from elimination.

"He's very much like an older brother to me and we really got closer when we did the duet," she says of Lambert, who Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield credits with saving the sagging Idol franchise. "It was so much fun! As soon as [producers] said we were doing duets, we looked at each other like, 'We have to do something!' It was one of the most fun things [I've done] on the show. [Producers] said we could choose our partner amongst ourselves, so that was when Adam and I just looked at each other. He saw 'Slow Ride,' and I was like, 'OK, let's do it!' Allison has run marathons for several causes, including 2006 for Children's Hospital and 2007 Kids on the Run for Non Surgical Spine Care Center 

In 2008 she ran and completed the Los Angeles Marathon

Also in 2008 the HOPE Program at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles awarded Allison the Celebrate Life with Hope Award
