I have jest about decided
It 'ud keep a town-boy hoppin'
Fer to work all winter, choppin'
Fer a' old fireplace, like I did!
Lawz! them old times wuz contrairy! --
Blame' backbone o' winter, 'peared-like,
WOULDN'T break! -- and I wuz skeered-like
Clean on into FEB'UARY!
Nothin' ever made me madder
Than fer Pap to stomp in, layin'
In a' extra forestick, sayin'
"Groun'hog's out and seed his shadder!"

Was I the only one who fell in love?
Have my feelings ever reached you, even just a handful?
City in winter, streets are clamorous and bustling with people
Oh, snow is falling in town today
I've been ruminating over words you said,
knowing very well, that doing this could bring me to tears
My feelings, which are like snow piling up and blanketing winter in white,
can't melt away easily the way snow does.
So then, take good care of yourself
Please be happy, so that I can smile
What remains in my mind, is that old winter day,
the day which matches perfectly with white sighs whispering "Goodbye"
"I loved you", "I trusted you",
even when I love you, even when I trust you,
those words were covered with dust
The winter tearing off fluorescent light, water tank and traces of our fight
suddenly feels so nostalgic
That's why, just keep walking ahead
and leave me standing here, a few steps behind you
Please understand that I don't need
those words "Thank you" that you wrote with one hand
So then, take good care of yourself
What I recall to mind, is that distant winter day
You muttered an apology, with white fog coming out of your mouth
and unintentionally, my name slipped from your lips
The painting of winter you gave me got buried in the snow.
