At the 1986 EAA Oshkosh, Steve Pitcairn, son of the then famous aircraft designer Harold Pitcairn, demonstrated the newly restored PCA-2 Autogiro ‘Miss Champion’. Steve saved this ageing aircraft and his efforts are now preserved in our museum as a valuable example of early rotorcraft flight.

I don’t think I’ve seen so many B-36s in one place! Magnificent 👍. Also a couple of B-47s - one at middle right, and at least one right up the back near the hangars at top left. What’s the aircraft on the taxiway in the middle of shot ? B-57? But the wingspan looks like that of a U-2🤔. Hmmm… thoughts? This Image was taken c1957 at Yokota AB, Japan.
