Anyone else remember

Back when if you wanted to find something online, you went through at least three carefully formed queries, on a minimum of six different search engines, each with increasingly fanciful interfaces.

(Unless you started with Jeeves. Jeeves knew Everything and if he didn't then Lycos could fetch it.)

Uh oh. The algorithms figured out I like crafting, crafting supplies, and Etsy.

What they don't realize is that I've been online since 1996 and have a Very Strong Aversion to clicking ads.

For those of you who don't understand why... there was a time before adblockers and pop-up blockers and every third ad was fake and gave away free viruses to either Trojan your CPU into Swiss cheese or bottify it for zombie armies.

And I'm assuming that is still the case.

I am stuck in my ways.

But justifiably so XD
