kiss for, for kissing is a kind of wish.

Be careful what you dish, no not

because you later may have to take

it, but because dishing carefully

is as we know the right thing to do.

Today’s Korean proverb: “Even when the sky is falling, there is a hole where one can spring up” 하늘이 무너져도 솟아날 구멍은 있다 . . . The world seems falling apart and there are so many depressing news every day, so today’s pick has to be this one. This proverb means there’s always a way for anything. This is one of my favorite✨ hopeful✨ old saying of all — firstly because it says the sky can fall down (how abstract yet illustrative concept is that!) and secondly it encourages to find a solution for a difficult task. . . . . Similar english saying was suggested to be: “Every cloud has a silver lining” . Today’s Korean proverb: "There is the flying one above the running one." 뛰는 놈 위에 나는 놈 있다 🐥 I think it’s a bit easy to guess what this means… “Even if one(thing/person) is excellent, there's always a better one” This old saying is (i think) to help people to stay humble, but for me, it also paradoxically helps me not to feel insecure when I compare myself with ‘the better ones’. ’The better one’ probably is feeling insecure too sometimes, and it’s the shared experience for all of us to feel that way. Similar english saying is apparently “There may be blue and better blue”, but let me know if you know the better one :) . . . .
