Joining the crew || Civil War|| Calling all Steve's.
Clint had a plan, find Steve and if need be, prove how not thrilled with the registration act he was and tell them he wanted to join or... enlist or whatever it was called. He stopped in front of a bank he never went to and sent off another call to Steve using the payphone, hoping that the soldier would at least answer this time.
Bucky had been /damn/ busy since he got his letter. Touching on contacts, some of which he hadn't prodded from underneath their rocks in .. well.. decades in Logan's case. Others who were on shaky footing with him at best, but as the adage went: the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and it was a powerful glue to hold people together and mend old wounds when one's liberty was being threatened.
Some people got a text. Others, a call. Others were stalked down. None of these things were necessary with Steve; Bucky always knew how to find him, as if through a sixth sense. His own personal super power since they were both younger men--Steve Sense.
And with that letter from SHIELD burning a hole in his breast pocket, he was among the first the soldier sought out. The man he knew would have more intimate details on the political quagmire they were all being forced into. The man with the plan. The man he would play shadow to--even from a distance--for the rest of his life. It was simply a fact of this world: Wherever there was Steve Rogers in need, James Barnes would be there.
Certainly, he was a conflict of personality traits these days; aloof one moment and overtly amicable the next. Withdrawn one moment and flirting with anything that passed his way the next. Imposing one moment and grinning the next.
But one thing that never changed was his passionate nature humming beneath whatever mask he was wearing at the time. Cool and calculated on the surface, but the way his pale eyes flashed when he set them on the tall blonde soldier, Steve had to know there was a fire stoked and threatening to melt that surface veneer.
“Steve,” the greeting spoken solemnly. None of his nicknames or jokes, it was obvious within that moment that he knew what was happening. And he had been called up just like the rest, only confirmed when he slipped his hand into his breast pocket and pulled out a folded letter inside a torn envelope—the return address from SHIELD.
Rugged features set with intensity, there was only one question left for the man. “What do we do, next?”
((Setting a generic set for our menagerie of Steve's out there if anyone would like to pick up and respond to it. I haven't ever played with any of you before so...hello! If anyone has questions or concerns, my ask is always open. *smile*))

Don't freak out. I know it looks daunting. I know some of you might be thinking 'I don't know most of these people ... I'll have no one to interact with.' Stop thinking that right now :)
Yes, there's a lot of people, and that's okay. Don't be shy, I guarantee there's not one person here who can honestly admit they've spoken to everyone on this list. I think this is why this will be fun - so what if you haven't spoken to them before? Ask a question, jump in with an opinion - use this Civil War plot as a tool for yourself and your character.
Everyone on this list has either sent me a message, or expressed an interest to be included - so be included guys, don't sit back and watch and think you're not good enough - because you're more than good enough :)
Sorry for the wait, college ambushed me yet again the sneaky bastard. At the last count, there's thirty-two on this bandwagon, with possibly another two to jump on.
I'm going with Bucky-mun's idea, that after the initial post, and all the messages/submissions have been sent.
I would like everyone to do their own little post about the Act - don't freak out, I don't expect any late NaNoWriMos or anything guys, just short and simple (unless you're into lengthy posts), something to explain/show your character's reaction to the Act. Whether they agree, disagree or are undecided. Just don't forget to use the 'civilwarrp' tag.
After that, everyone's reaction-post should be in that tag, and we can jump in on whichever ones we want or whichever submission/message answers.
Steve has kindly offered to help me run this thing :) I'm actually just about to go make a separate account for the Civil War thing - just so that any posts, questions, announcements etc come from a neutral (ironic term, right?) account, instead of mine.
On this account, I will set up a pages detailing who is in the plot, who is on the Pro side, who is on the Anti side, who has been incarcerated etc, etc...
