When it was all over, when the east wind had blown through and they picked themselves off the pavement, Sherlock said enough.
Eighteen years later, the real journey begins.
John and Sherlock meet for the first time as old men in Sussex.
Retirement wasn't quite what they'd expected. For one thing, they hadn't been in the same room for two years.

COP MOVIE AU with STEVIE HOOPER

“Alright, I need a run-down. A clear start. Go over the facts with me again, Stevie.”
Detective Hooper obliged, with a sigh. He rattled off the data like he had it memorized---by now, a distinct possibility. “Three young women, ages between 15 and 16. All three attacks took place within the span of a few days, but aside from age and gender, the victims have little in common---one was a rising star athlete, another the youngest daughter from an affluent family, and the third, Blackbourne---from all reports, her primary concern was the wellbeing of the people around her. We got that, and... she liked sandwiches.” Hooper shook his head, smiling a little.
Recently-widowed John takes a look at his life and finds it lacking. It's been twenty years since Sherlock returned from the dead, but he's never stopped thinking things should have turned out very differently. Sherlock has been living in Sussex for five years now, but it takes the news that he has a new partner in crime to get John out of London. A tale of pining, and jealousy, jumping to the wrong conclusion, and old men in love.
Sherlock predicts nectar flow the same way he deduces a murder, but he harvests the honey like John coddles the dog.
Also I now have a good camera, pictures should continue to look better :3
Sherlock takes a remarkably early retirement at 47, and convinces John that a change of pace would do them both good. They buy an old cottage on the South Downs, and exchange their nonstop life in Baker Street for quiet contemplation, bee studies, and book writing. They might go completely insane, but sometimes it takes stepping outside of the life you're living to find the life you want. Sherlock takes one last look out to the horizon, mouth downturned and brow furrowed, before seeming to shake himself and catching up to John with a few long-legged strides. John turns back toward the path cut into the cliffs, climbing steadily toward the rolling downs already green and lush in the weak April warmth. They reach the top and Sherlock strikes toward the west, back to where their hired Land Rover sits a mile away in a public carpark. John falls into step beside him and takes a deep breath. “I expected a case,” he starts. “A bit chilly for a walk, really, so. D’you mind telling me what we’re doing out here?” Sherlock doesn’t even pause, simply tucks his head down against the wind and continues walking. “I’m retiring,” he says simply.
