[Flashback] A Time Of Revolt

date & time: years ago, during the revolt of the (now) banished province location: outskirts of athos availability: closed to @sofiabuchanan 

Chaos and war was in his blood - passed down from his ancestors to him it seemed. Because Jean-Pierre fit right into the scene as a cunning general and strategist. And as the Prince and his Anchor traveled back to the main base in Athos for a war council meeting, he put up a front of confidence that was only interrupted by the stern look in his eyes while he thought about what they were going to do that evening. There was a lot of planning to be done to get rid of the rebels. 

When he noticed Sofia shifting uncomfortably from his peripherals, however, JP turned his gaze away from the bulletproof window and looked over to her. “... We’ll get there just fine, love.” He said, offering a crooked smile that faded as soon as he heard the drivers and guard mutter something to each other from the front of the car. It was something about a block on the road, which made JP stiffen and look over to Sofia. 

Just as soon as he did, the car shook from a deafening blast at the front, causing the vehicle to stop and almost flip over. Ears ringing and head throbbing from hitting the side of the door, the Prince took off his seatbelt and immediately reached for the crossbow thrown out of the seat beside him in the commotion. With a gun also holstered at his side, he felt confident enough to immediately kick open the (now crooked) door car and face the sudden sound of fighting and yelling from outside.

“Forget that... We need to get out of here, now,” he said, looking over Sofia and seeming relatively calm for the situation they were in.
