Machines Owning More Machines?
This was a special day. Ordinary days didn't include a large, white, well-insulated box about the right size to lay an adult human in arriving on the porch. The box was mostly unmarked, but the workmen who accompanied the box, and brought it to the door, had all the important papers about what this was, and what it was for.
One of the men rang the bell, tapping his foot a bit. "Business is really up lately, y'know?"
"Yeah, no kidding. No wonder, though. We've been advertising like crazy, and well. If I had the money myself, I'd sure as hell go for something like this."
"That's a hell of a thing to just admit." The workers had a good laugh as they waited. They had to physically hand off this package; it was simply too important and expensive to just abandon.
