“ how did you get this scar? ”  

ah! thank you for asking!!

Abra shrugged her sweater off, discarding it on the chair beside her. Her shoulders ached, muscles knotted and tense after a night spent crammed in the passenger seat of a car watching an abandoned warehouse–waiting for something–anything to happen. Nothing did. Just as she had expected.

She pulled her shirt up by the collar, slipping it over her head and tossing it into the laundry bin in the corner of her room. A shiver ran down her spine as the cold air hit her skin. 

“How did you get that scar?” Abra jumped at the sudden, albeit familiar, voice. She spun around to find Liv perched precariously on the armrest of the couch. Abra exhaled softly, blowing a loose strand of hair from her face, the momentary dose of panic melting away as she took in the sight of her friend. 

“What’re you doing here?”

Liv shrugged. 

“Missed you.” Her eyes did a cursory glance, surveying Abra–scanning for potential weaknesses and recent changes. Abra paid little mind to it, it was a leftover habit from her years as a Widow, and she had long since learned not to pepper Liv with too many questions. “So- scar?”

“What?” her hand slid over her ribs, resting over the circular scar beneath her fifth rib. She tried not to dwell on the memory of how she got it. Liv perched on the armrest, her big brown Bambi eyes scrutinizing her every move. She cocked her head to the side slightly–reminding Abra bizarrely of a cocker spaniel puppy. Abra raked her fingers through her hair, pulling it into a loose ponytail at the nape of her neck as she padded across her room to the dresser. She fished a clean tank top out of the drawer and pulled it over her head. She had spent years sharing a seedy Las Vegas motel room with Liv and had long since become accustomed to living her life around her existence. “Oh. Uh–Clint stabbed me.”

She expected the cursory surprised gasp, flash of pity, a flood of follow-up questions–things any ordinary person would have done. Only Liv wasn’t exactly what one would call–ordinary. Instead, she simply dipped her head once in understanding. 

“Huh. Did he apologize?” Abra almost laughed at that–all he had done since was apologize, it was almost aggravating. Clint hadn’t apologized to her in the eight years she had worked with him more than he had in the last two months. Ever since New York. She shook her head a little and flopped into the spot next to Liv. She slung her arm over Liv’s legs and passed Liv the tv remote, giving her free rein over the tv. 

“Yeah. He’s a good guy.”

the next step in me slowly expanding my mcu one chicago universe kskks

but also i have had her for literally less than a day so this will make zero sense and literally all of it is subject to change

so the general idea is this

she's Abra's best friend which is fun, great for them, except they met back when Abra was still y'know scamming people for a living.

which Olivia still very much does

she's a Nat slowburn. idk how they meet or how they work or even any of it, but the vibes are fun so it works for me

she's not an avenger. she's never really going to be an avenger, but she does become slightly less of a bad guy over time.

like she's not a hero, but she's in endgame because they are just that desperate

her catchphrase is literally "i know a guy"

you need an ice statue? she knows a guy. you want a rare and venomous cactus? she knows a guy. you want a really nice piece of stolen art? she is that guy.

i'm thinking maybe she's a former widow too?? maybe?? idk yet

i actually have a lot planned for her and nat during civil war and endgame??

cause they like, they get together sometime before Civil War, and they're doing pretty well together but then everything goes to hell, and Olivia has never been one to put her life on hold for someone else

and as much as they care about each other, Nat knows it.

so Civil Ware breakup when Nat has to go into hiding. <3

but so far I plan for them to get back together between Infinity War and Endgame, so there's that.
