The Olympics has me in a choke-hold atm, so I'll be posting a few of my cleaned-up sketchbook doodles.
Thank you @k8s--space for letting me play with Bats and Rex. 💜
Ilya rozanov would repost Ilia Malinin‘s gala showcase with the Irina foundation link. He would teach the invite ilia to teach a figure skating camp to go along with the hockey one. (That performance was beautiful and the lack of commentary from the announcers on the message pissed me off)
Highlight and drama on the 1000m men Ice speed skating today
Highlight was the race between Jenning de Boo (NL) and Jordan Stolz. The latter being the heavy favorite for this distance and is already named the reincarnation of Eric Heiden (Iconic Ice speed skater many years ago with tons of medals and titles). Who btw. was present at the races today, sitting next to Snoop Dogg
The race was tension packed, de Boo was faster up to the 600m mark, but then Stolz, who is known for the final sprint finished in a new OR.
Of course Gold and Silver for de Boo. Brons was for the Chinese Zhongyiang Nhing.
The drama in today took place in the 11th pair, Joep Wennemars (NL) racing against Ziwen Lian (CHN). While Joep was skating his best times, in the last change of lanes, he got hindered by the Chinese skater. He was allowed later on to re-skate his race, he did, but it is inhumane to expect to perform on top level twice within 30 minutes.
Needless to say, anger, frustration and huge dissapointment for Joep who saw four year work and his dream for an Olympic medal (for which he was one of the favorites as well) evaporate in a split second.
That's also the Olympics.
Congratulations for the winners, and for Joep, much compassion. Put it behind you as fast as you can and focus on the next race. 🧡
THATS OUR GUY 🥹🥹🥇🥇❤️❤️
ILIA NOOO MY POOR BABY
I js know the headlines are gonna just gonna be ilia falling and failing to get on the podium, and that’s so sad. I’ve seen so much stuff on here saying how they are happy that he didn’t win and it pisses me off because he really tried.
he took it like a champ and was still respectful and I think yall should be too.
brb, weirdly emotional about Mack scoring the first goal for team Canada in the Olympics :’)
