Phones have been beeping off the hook at the waiting room with the earthquake alert blasting on all networks. He’s had patients admitted with mild cases of pneumonia from the storm, but otherwise the hospital wasn’t entirely too busy lately--unless you counted the occasional hypochondriac who usually wasted most of his valuable time. He checked the front desk for the line-up of patients in the emergency room before he walked back in to the first unattended patient he found. “Hello, I’m senior clerk Shim. How may I help you?”

Work. It wasn't the most exciting thing to do, but Laure had no problem putting in extra work to be succesful. She was good at keeping herself busy. She set up her workspace at the coffee shop nearest to her apartment. It was a bit of controlled chaos. Sprawled out over all of the tablespace closest to her were her notes, her laptop, her coffee and pastries, random star maps, old newspapers, and anything else she might need. She worked relentlessly for a couple hours before she looked up, seeing the coffee shop had gotten quite full. Seeing someone stand in front of her, and seeing that she had completely taken up the table and seat beside her, began apologizing profusely, "Oh! I'm so sorry! You can sit here, no problem." She quickly began gathering her things to clear up the seat.

Only now returning from an impromptu trip, Peyton still had her hair in the braids she had gotten for the music festival she had attended. She had needed a break, needed to get away, but knew she couldn’t stay too long or Kade would go looking for her and that was never a good thing. Peyton shifted her backback more fully onto her shoulder as she walked through the city towards her apartment.

Ellie had still been feeling sick off and on but at the moment she felt great. She was a little tired, but that was nothing to complain about compared to how she had been feeling the week before. Taking advantage of a nice day outside, she walked along a park with Apollo on a leash at her side. When Ellie decided on a break she sat down beneath a tree and the loyal dog laid at her side and rested his head on her lap. She was rewarding the dog with some well-placed head scratches when someone walked nearby. Looking toward them, she gave them a bright smile.

Patrick quickened his strokes as he lay on his board, paddling away from the wave. A smirk formed on his lips as he hoisted himself up onto the board, planting his feet on the surface and gliding it down the edge of the wave. Surfing was one of his favourite things to do in his spare time, it helped him relax, clear his head.

After spending awhile in the water Patrick made his way back onto the beach where his stuff was piled up on the sand, he put his board down. Not realizing someone was walking by, he shook his head about and little droplets of water sprayed out from his dark hair, only stopping when he realized someone was there, “ Sorry I didn’t realize anyone was close by.”

“I miss the drought,” Adrian complained bitterly, shaking the soaked hair as he entered the building. “I’m telling you, freak weather or not this is so annoying. Climate change is a real pain in the ass.”
