We spent our first day of touring New Zealand still aboard the ship, but with incredible views. We slowly cruised through Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, and Dusky Sound on a perfectly sunny day. These sounds experience more than 200 days of rain per year (which means great waterfalls). Who else feels jealous of those kayakers? It was such a lovely day, and a fun memory because we were on this same cruise ship when we toured Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska... cruising is truly the best way to view such pristine areas (unless of course you want to see it from above, in which case, take a plane!).
