imagine showing any of the celestials that stupid little illusion that makes it look like youre pulling your thumb off and they all collectively lose their SHIT. like freaking out, yelling at solomon for teaching you dangerous magic, asking why youd ever do such a stupid thing, only for you to put it back and theyre just so baffled. once its been explained, diavolo and mammon would be enamoured, begging you to show them the trick behind it.
by extension. telling one of them youve "got their nose" and running off, only for them to chase after you and demand for it back. luke just straight up bursts into tears.
☞ Nightbringer timeline (sorry if anything is inaccurate, I forgor)
It had started off as any normal day. Of course, excluding the three times Mc stubbed their toe on their bed. Nor the tripping out the door, face planting on the harsh terrain. Nor getting smacked in the nose by the elbow of a taller demon. Nor the puddle they accidentally stepped in, muddying their uniform. They got a talking to from the eldest born of the sins. Although, that was usual.
Yet the day continued, their bad luck following. Their uniform got caught on a door, embarrassing them as they fell to the ground the second time that day. They fell down the stairs, twitching in anger as Mammon helped them up. They almost passed out when they saw their bag drenched from the one and only avatar of envy. All of their homework…
It was truly awful, they felt exhausted. Luckily, they have comforting company.
Solomon
Living in Cocytus Hall together, he was the first to witness Mc’s terrible, terrible day.
He winced every time Mc physically hurt themselves, offering to heal them.
He was denied each time since Mc said they could take it.
Welp, now he feels horrible.
It seemed every time he looked over to them, another incident happened.
He couldn’t just leave them so helpless to their environment, perhaps a little protective spell could help?
At home, Solomon will offer to cook something good for them. Which was promptly denied.
Solomon allows them to vent, once again offering to heal them with magic if need be.
Letting Mc rest, Solomon uses magic to help clean out their uniform and waterproof their bag. Whatever he could magic-fy to prevent another day like this to happen.
After doing what he could, he joins them in bed, providing his warmth.
Mc admits it was a bad day, but at least they have the one and only Monsolo by their side.
Mammon
Mammon stuck close to his attendant.
After witnessing them tumble almost an entire flight of stairs scared the bejeebers out of him.
He felt like a sad puppy by their side, keeping a keen eye on them.
Even if he couldn’t be by their side physically, Mc could tell whenever a crow was in the area.
Walking home, he frantically looked around for any hazards to Mc.
His brothers laughed at him for sort of switching the roles, but he didn’t care.
Mc found it endearing, brightening their day just enough.
Before Mc left to go back to Cocytus Hall, they thanked Mammon for all his efforts.
It made him blush red.
He wanted to do so much more with them.
He didn’t think a common demon could do so much to him.
And yet, they left to go back to that stupid wizard.
Oh Mc…

He’ll make sure tomorrow, he’ll keep them safe and sound!
Diavolo
Having a meeting with the newly appointed avatars’ attendant, he noticed their dull mood.
Being the considerate prince he was, he asked how their day was.
Mc sighed, setting down their tea cup before spilling it all.
Diavolo’s brows furrowed after hearing accident after accident, physically recoiling when he heard how they fell down a flight of stairs.
He pitied the poor demon, knowing how annoying that could be.
He offered more snacks to ease them and let them relax.
Mc smiled and enjoyed themselves, making small talk with Diavolo.
Mc decided that maybe today wasn’t so bad. They had Diavolo.
And while it may not have been their Diavolo, he was ever the same in both the past and the present.
They thanked him for his time and complimented Barbatos’ baking.
Mc walked home just a little bit happier that evening.
Barbatos
He had noticed Mc’s mishaps throughout the entire day, giving a worried glance.
In small moments, when given the chance, he helped them avoid the incidents or helped them up.
He offered Mc to come over to the palace for a quick snack with Diavolo. Something to relax them.
Mc couldn’t say no to Barbatos, not when he was offering to serve them in such a way.
Barbatos always was and always will be a great cook. There is no denying that.
He offered a protective charm, saying a demon such as Mc would probably do well with it.
Mc appreciated the gesture, wearing it proudly back to Cocytus Hall.
Let’s just say, Soloboy was a tad bit jealous.
Simeon
Oh my, the poor demon.
He squeaked every time he saw Mc, seeing them take a step closer and closer to another accident.
He couldn’t take it and approached them.
He figured they had enough trouble for one day, offering to take them out somewhere nice.
Inconspicuously protecting them with his angelic aura.
Hanging around Simeon, Mc found the day…more manageable.
If they had tripped, Simeon caught them easily.
If they had a worrying gut feeling, it dissipated the instant Simeon smiled at them.
If they had felt their body stiffen instinctively, Simeon provided comfort.
It was…odd.
Why is he acting like a guardian angel to a lowly demon?
Does he perhaps know Mc is a human that needs protecting?
Is it instinct?
After their little date, Simeon dropped Mc off to Cocytus Hall. He smiled as he saw the wizard open the door.
“I decided to take them out for a stroll around, I hope you don’t mind, Solomon.” He smiled at the white haired man.
Solomon smiled back at him, feeling a twinge of jealousy. “Not a problem, Simeon. As long as my little apprentice is safe.”
Simeon raised a brow at that remark. A human caring for a demon was surprising to him.
Although, he couldn’t judge with how he felt for the brothers.
“I’ll be off, good day, Mc.” He smiled gently at them.
Mc didn’t know what to feel in that moment. That wasn’t their Simeon..and yet..
And yet, he was so familiar. He was so reliable. He was so..safe.
Mc needed to lie down, their brain shackled with too many thoughts.
“I miss my Simeon..” was all they could think that night.
Adelha has informed Solomon, point blank but with reason, that he is unable to cook. Period. Solomon ended up heartbroken and in tears to sit down and look absolutely crushed. While his favorite apprentice knelt next to him to dab at his eyes with tissues. Adelha explains that Solomon is still a magnificent individual with countless skills and talents to his reputation. Yet he has no talent at keeping to a recipe or making a known dish as it should taste naturally.
The theory is given that since Solomon is so wise and masterful at so many things, a natural balance has ruined his ability to cook. To keep him both humble and human in the truest sense. Solomon is then given the important official job of 'dragon snuggler' whenever Adelha is cooking and Solomon is present. Solomon either must hug Adelha as she cooks. Or Solomon must be hugging and or playing with one of her beloved 'Paw Posse' instead. Since Adelha has five puppies and one very cuddly kitten, Solomon ends up dog piled.

is aware that his position of Demon Prince is one that’s rather advantageous. He keeps this especially in mind when it comes to his lover. Diavolo is also very aware of his overwhelming demeanor that his loyal subjects know all too well, but the human world has yet to see that side of him. He’s his usual bubbly and extroverted self when he first meets your ex, but when mention is made that this is, in fact, your ex, his whole disposition changes. He’s standing taller, his broad shoulders squared, his glare narrowed on the target before him. He had all but flared his wings and flashed his horns fully in his demon form. It doesn’t take long for your ex to take notice of this and politely and very quickly excuse themself and head the opposite direction of you and Diavolo. “Oh, it’s a shame that our conversation ended so quickly!” It’s not that you hadn’t noticed his swift change in tune, but you certainly weren’t going to question it or mind it, really. Diavolo loops your arm in his and start you all in the opposite direction your ex had walked, “I saw a flyer for a carnival in town, let’s head that way!”

is pretty low key and honestly doesn’t even react to your ex showing up. Well, not on the outside at least. The utmost decorum and poise is expected of Barbatos, but his thoughts can be rather ruthless. If your ex approaches, Barbatos will exchange niceties but swiftly move you away from the conversation with whatever lie he can muster. “Come now, my dear, we mustn’t be late for an appointment with the Young Master.” You were a little confused what he meant because you weren’t aware of any appointments with Diavolo, but you roll with it, say your goodbye, and begin walking with Barbatos towards the shops. He keeps an arm around you, grip tight on your shoulder. “Forgive me, my love, but I couldn’t spend not one more second around that scoundrel,” he confesses. You’re a little taken aback, not really pegging Barbatos as jealous type. So, you question him, asking him if he really was jealous. And to your surprise, he says yes, “Well, of course I was. They got to know you long before I did. Got to touch you long before I did. Perhaps even experienced sides of you I’ve yet to experience. But, in due time, I will know every inch of you. Every thought. Everything. You are mine, my dear, I won’t let anyone else have you now.”

is absolutely the jealous type. But the silent anger type of jealousy, much like Barbatos. Simeon will exchange a hello and maybe even a handshake and do it all with a smile, but on the inside this man is seething. As the conversation with your ex wraps up and the three of you share your goodbyes you notice Simeon is quiet. You ask if he’s all right and he responds, “Yes, I’m okay, my little lamb. I just…” He trails off, looking dejected and blatantly avoiding eye contact with you, “Did you enjoy talking to them?” Simeon speaks low and, it was hard to hear, it almost sounded like he asked through gritted teeth. You tell him you neither hated it or loved it. Simeon looks relieved and wraps his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close as his eyes settle on a nearby flower shop. As he redirects your paths to the shop he continues, “I can’t believe how angry I just got.” Simeon lets out a small laugh, “I can’t think of another time I got that angry that quickly. When I saw you smiling at them the same way you smile at me…” You reassure him that you would never smile for anyone like that but him and he seems relieved yet again. He purchases you a big bouquet of your favorite flowers and you both head back to the Devildom where Simeon walks you home. He makes sure to give you a slow, deep kiss in front of the door right in view of Mammon who was about to let you in.

will get very clingy after a run in with your ex. After you mention to him that you see your ex across the way he’s quick to yank you the opposite direction, much to the dismay of his enemy in question. Solomon grabs your hand with a tight grip and with his other he’s using magic to teleport the two of you back to Purgatory hall. You try to question him as to why he’s acting this way but he’s quick to silence you before you can even ask, “Surely you don’t think I’d like meddling with your ex?” You cross your arms, giving him the same silent glare a mother would use with her child. “Oh, come on, love. I’m sorry, okay?” Solomon insists as he steps towards you, placing his hands on your shoulders. As he looks at you with pleading eyes, he slowly begins trailing his hands down your shoulders, resting them on your upper arms. Before you can even register it, his fingers are tickling your underarms. You let out a huge laugh as you try to wrestle away from him but he quickly subdues you by pressing your back into his chest. His arms lock around you, his hands roaming farther and farther down your torso, stopping just above the waistband of your bottoms. “Let me show you just how sorry I am.” You feel him smirk against your neck right before he smothers the skin in bruises.

a/n pt2. i’m not sure why i blanked so hard on diavolo’s, simeon’s, and solomon’s but i just could not figure out what i wanted to write for them. quite frankly, i think these hc’s for them suck. i just wanted this out of my drafts desperately. at least barb’s turned out pretty good, imo.
