work is killing me, and what makes me even sadder is opening the omega max, bottom max, and max/everyone in ao3 and not finding a single new fic or any completed ones. there’s no max winning races, and there’s no max being a babygirl on ao3… how do you survive like this?

I'm still not 100% sure I'm gonna do this because I don't think I'm confident enough yet to put it out there......but anyway, I thought I should talk about what I'm thinking and what I plan on doing. This way I may get some motivation and perhaps some confidence to put this story out there. 😅

Anyway this is the summary

Charles doesn’t chase his Ex Omega. He waits for the bad nights, the silence and for the moments Max forgets how much it hurt. Max knows Charles will hurt him again, his friends know it too. But knowing has never stopped the omega from going back to his Ex Alpha's bed which feels like home, even when home is where he breaks. Max doesn’t know how to choose himself over the alpha who still owns his heart.

I got inspiration for this story from this song 😀 and it's supposed to be for the @omegamaxfest, and again I really hope I'll be able to get the confidence for it cause I really love the storyline I came up with.

I wrote this a few days ago. It didn't feel long enough to be its own ao3 post... maybe idk. But Tumblr gets it first.

Max should have realized that when George had texted him to take his time on the trip back home, that he’d had an alpha over. What Max hadn’t expected was that their friend had had Daniel over. 

And Daniel was in rut. 

Among the realizations that Max was having while he inhaled the thick alpha pheromones that blanketed the flat through George’s closed bedroom door, was that George was Daniel’s rut partner. 

Max was not upset about it (he was), he was just jealous (extremely so).

Daniel was hot as hell and funny. Kind and fun. How did George get to be his rut partner?!

Max could admit that he’d had a crush on Daniel from the moment they were introduced. Whether Daniel knew about that crush was moot because he’d never acted on it. Max would know because he was painfully aware that Daniel treated him kindly and respectfully when all Max wanted was for him to be so disrespectful. But that wasn’t Daniel. 

Maybe he was like that when he was in rut? Max pressed his ear to the seam of the door. Then when he heard nothing he scrambled to the kitchen for a glass. He’d always seen this in movies but fuck if he knew whether it worked. He didn’t even know which way to put it on the door at first—did he put his ear in the glass? Did he put the base of the glass on the door? 

He totally did not almost drop it before he figured it out. He wouldn’t say he heard everything that was happening inside George’s room but he heard a growl— a sound he’d only fantasized hearing from Daniel in very different circumstances. And the creak of the bed. 

Daniel growled again, though this time it sounded closer to a groan and Max pressed his thighs together. He felt himself getting wet just from Daniel’s sounds. There was a deep rumbling sound and Max almost dropped the glass because it sounded so close. Sounded as if Daniel were on the other side of the door. 

Max put the glass down and booked it to his room where he slumped against the door. He didn’t need Daniel or George to open the door and see him snooping— how horrifying.  

Max groaned, he couldn’t get the sound of Daniel’s growl out of his mind. And with the blanketing scent of him, Max was horny as hell. 

Well if George was getting some, they wouldn’t mind if Max took care of himself, maybe. 

Max situated himself in his nest and reached beneath one of the pillows for his favorite toy. The battery operated alpha was compact and hit the spot that Max loved. He settled onto his back, in his preferred position and turned the toy on. Except, nothing happened. 

Max pressed the button again and still nothing happened, not even a sluggish attempt at vibration. The battery was completely dead. How disappointing. 

Max let out a frustrated breath. His other dildo was in the shower. Which he supposed was fine since Daniel and George were locked up in George’s room.

Max pulled the door closed, not noticing when it didn’t stay shut, instead opening a crack. He was too busy stripping in anticipation. His thighs were wet with slick and he felt so so empty. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to barge in like that,” Daniel mumbled when he saw Max in the room. His scent was so deep and alpha. 

“Yeah right.” George muttered, Max raised a brow. 

“Uhm it’s ok I guess, I accept your apology.” Max said, scratching his cheek. 

“Ok I’m not doing this any longer. Can you please just go bone already.” George commanded, pointing at them with the knife. Max blinked owlishly. 

“What?” Max asked, Daniel opened his mouth to say something but blushed instead. George sighed as if this conversation physically hurt him. 

“You like him. He likes you. He went into rut and came here looking for you but you were gone to your mom’s. I spent the weekend complaining and feeding this overgrown dog while he groaned and growled and sighed that you weren’t here. Your laundry basket is literally turned over on my floor. He smelled you when you came home. Now can you please get out of my face and go fuck or something!” George ranted. Max blinked slowly then turned to look at Daniel who was already watching him. 

That was a lot but ok. Max could work with a direct command. Grabbing Daniel’s hand, he pulled the alpha into his room and locked the door.
