The discussion she held with Xavier was as unpleasant as she could have expected.  She understood why Phobe did what she did, but the betrayal of the demon’s trust still stung.  It took a lot for her to trust someone, and two important people in her life had trampled on that, even if unintentionally.  She sighs as she stares at the front door to Xavier’s house.  This was another unpleasant conversation she was not looking forward to.  Biting her lip she raps a knuckle on the door.  The moment she saw the girl, all words died in her throat.  She was at a loss for what to say.

James walked briskly towards the woods. It was a cold Sunday afternoon, and he was not too thrilled to be outside.  He hated the cold.  But he had made a promise to meet Phobe today, and he wasn’t going to ditch her.  He makes it to a clearing full of flowers that the girl had described the night previously and decides to lean against a tree while he waits.  He pulls out a cigarette and lights it.  He wasn’t sure how long he was going to be waiting for her.
