Well that didn't take long
Last night I had a dream that my dad and I were helping Blurg save Omeluum from some kind of possession. We had to concentrate different types of magic into tiny little gem stones while it levitated over a fire and breathed in the smoke, and while the details are fuzzy I do remember how happy Blurg was to have it back and how desperate he had been to save it.
It was so sweet when he caught its body and hugged it tight while it recovered 😭
Third time I'm posting this on this website, so sue me. But, once upon a time I started a super ambitious BG3 project where I wrote down a week's worth of prompts for 52 characters with the hopes of having an entire year of fanart. Obviously I burned out hard even though I ended up making it an every other week event. But the first week was for Blurg and Omeluum! Here's the first of them. (I got confused because I got bugbears in my image search so I drew Blurg way hairier then he should have been and I meant to do his makeup while coloring but I never did)
The prompt was "Explore!" You can see this, uncensored, here.
A commission like this would cost $240

I feel like there had to be at least one time that Blurg fell asleep leaning against Omeluum, and in an effort not to disturb him, it stayed absolutely stock still for 6+ hours.
Okay, but also what if Omeluum and Blurg sit together in seemingly complete silence side-by-side for hours at a time; however, it's really just Omeluum reading to Blurg telepathically over their own little channel.
Omeluum and Blurg posting hours, but sometimes I think Omeluum brings back "samples" of things that have nothing to do with its main branch of research when they're out in the field. It leaves them lying around Blurg's workspace as "storage for future analysis", which Blurg just takes as another quirk of its partner's and places it on his shelf.
Omeluum never does anything without purpose, however. These random samples are in fact not so random and have everything to do with a far less official, secret "sub-branch" of research it is doing entitled: "A Running List of Aesthetic Preferences: Which Objects Make Blurg Smile".
