Kinda surreal to see people explain WHY Tumblr is implementing age verification in the UK and Brazil just to see responders argue that it's still all Tumblr's fault for complying. They don't want to imagine that this is anything but a bad UI choice that can be turned around by yelling at social media employees. "What's the government got to do with fascism?", or something like that

Tumblr putting in age verification in places where age verification is now legally required: not much they can do to avoid this. Like, Meta could probably fight it with some chance of success if they wanted to, but Tumblr doesn't have anything like the clout required.

Tumblr moderation aggressively and disproportionately flagging posts by or depicting trans people and people of color as "mature" no matter what the content is? Very much their fault and they should yelled at about it until they are finally browbeaten into fixing it, or the end of time, whichever comes first.

ahh, i am very attached to their hobgoblin selves, you see! SO i'd just put them in the modern scenario as hobgoblins :D But i like racebend actually, so why not? Not sure about picket fence, BUT Dror being a trashy neighbour who sits in his car and plays obnoxiously loud bass is definitely something i envision for him XD I think he would be, unfortunately, very handsome 😔 What a waste of pretty face on a terrible personality

Here’s a bunch of Robert Blackman’s original Ferengi costume sketches for DS9, complete with fabric swatches!!!!! These were all found on an auction website and consistently sold for under $250, which killllls me. One set of original Quark sketches sold for only $80 ?!?!?!

Also, I don’t know if he eventually colored in photocopies, but the black and white drawings with fabric swatches but no indication of what goes where tells me Blackman must have had a good communication with the costume shops that built his costumes. The proportions of his sketches versus the immaculate fits of the finished costumes also tells me that he was probably very active in fittings, as well.
