Immigration has been a very contentious topic here in America lately. In fact, it’s been a driving issue in our current volatile political climate. As a daughter of immigrant parents, you can probably guess where I stand on this topic. Los Angeles-based pop talent Disco Shrine, who last gave us a lusciously captivating pop anthem named Up In The Air that focused on the struggles of her own immigrant parents, continues to enthrall and inspire us with new indie/electro pop single Everyday. The song’s punchy synths, husky soulful vocals, and vibrant hip hop rhymes, courtesy of Texas artist Omenihu, evoke a powerful message about achieving “the American dream” through hard work. Everyday is a contemporary pop gem with loads of depth, a slick grooving, cutting-edge mixture of pop, R&B, and hip hop from a rising starlet who has her finger on the pulse of the scene. Jessica Delijani, the artist behind this fresh magic, is also a sought after DJ who’s toured extensively across the US. Stream Everyday on Spotify, here, or Apple Music, here.
