Goofyclan was actually going to be a spoof series at first (I.e the first prototype being dubbed silly clan) but I slowly decided to make it a cosmic horror disguised as a spoof series. The bright colors, the silly names, and then the contrast of the horrible acts and terrible unknowing mystery. I like to leave most stuff unsolved to let the audience discover the truths, so we don’t know 100% what’s going on yet, hence the cipher bits! Some of this was from my stupid brain going “what if the clans had something new? Something they couldn’t comprehend, and could only use vague starclan like descriptions in order to even fathom it?”
Some book influences are The Fisherman, The Thing, Annihilation, The Summer hikaru died, and the short story His face all red.
Some movie influences are Annihilation (yes again), color out of space, the tommyknockers (also a book), Ponyo, The Void, and Felidae!
Some game influences are animal crossing, still Wakes the deep, and Stray!
