Mspec identities are valid.
Bi people are valid, pan people are valid, ply people are valid, omni people are valid, etc.
What do they mean?
Bi means attraction to same and other genders, OR attraction to two or more genders. This can include all genders, but doesn’t necessarily. This can include binary genders, but doesn’t necessarily. This can include nonbinary genders, but doesn’t necessarily.
Pan means attraction to all genders or that gender isn’t a factor in attraction. Omni means attraction to all genders too, but some distinguish it from pan by saying it means having a preference. However since pan is more well known and popular, plenty of pan people also have a preference and still consider themselves pan.
Ply is short for polysexual/polyromantic, and refers to attraction to multiple genders but not necessarily all genders. It can overlap with bi because of this.
This has been a little PSA.
