Fic a Day Challenge.

Saturday- Tim finds out about the secret mission of Dick, Wally, Artemis and Kaldur. Also gets injured. For Omni

Title: Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

Tim couldn’t pretend anymore that he didn’t notice Dick was acting strange. Stranger than usual anyway. He wasn’t his usual self, which for most would be understandable considering he’d just lost one of his closest friends. But this wasn’t grieving that was making him odd. Something else was going on here. Dick was hiding something from him. From all of them. And Tim Drake was determined to find out what exactly that was.   When he noticed Dick was keeping even stranger hours than normal. Something only someone in the Bat circle would pick up on. He followed him one night, sure he would just find out that he was dating or something. Something he couldn’t tell the team because of the secret ID thing. And because of his history with Zatanna. People don’t go on dates in warehouses in Bludhaven. And dates definitely didn’t include their fallen former team leader, a retired speedster... and his supposedly dead girlfriend. “What are you four up to...” Tim leaned in closer to hear them talking. He couldn’t hear their conversation, but then Artemis put on a necklace, and she wasn’t Artemis anymore. How did she manage that? He leaned forward, trying to tap into Dick’s comm frequency so he could listen in. Instead, he fell from the ledge. When Tim woke up he was in the batcave. Dick was sitting beside him. He was Dick Grayson, not Nightwing. A t-shirt, a hoodie, some jeans. He’d been sleeping in the chair, his hair messy and clothes wrinkled. Dick’s face was not happy when he saw Tim was awake. Relieved, but not happy. “So I’m going to have to kill you now.” Dick said casually. Tim stared at him. “What?” “I’m going to have to kill you. You know too much.” He paused. “You have a broken arm and you twisted your ankle in the fall. You’ll be out of commission for awhile.” Tim stared at the cast. He was starting to wake more, realizing that he had seen them all in that warehouse. Something was fishy and Dick knew he’d been there. He turned to his brother, swallowing a little. “Now that you know, you have to keep quiet. I know you’re mad we lied to you, but we did it for a very specific reason.” “Dick...” He paused. “I trust you.” Dick felt that like a dagger to the heart. Tim trusted him despite the lie. The team trusted him and he was lying to them about two allies: one fallen, one dead. He knew they were doing the right thing, the only thing to make this work. But Tim looking him right in the face, knowing the lie and saying he still trusted... “It’s the best way to find The Light. With the Justice League at bare bones crew... we have to do something drastic if we’re going to find them before anything else terrible happens...” “Dick... you don’t have to explain. You have reasons. I know that. I’m just...” Tim smiled weakly. “I’m glad she’s not really dead.” Dick hung his head. He was too. He had never been so glad someone was not dead. “The team is going to hate me.” “Maybe at first. But after some perspective... they’ll understand.” The older Robin looked down at his protege and smiled. He leaned in, ruffling Tim’s hair before getting up. He needed some rest. So did Tim. He had injuries to recover from. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Get some rest.”

In which it's 3:30 am, and Omni is having troubles sleeping, so Ariel attempts to hypnotize her to put her to sleep.. Okay.. she didn't even make it to 6. Either I'm an amazing hypnotist and put her to sleep, or she got really bored and signed off XD
