Smallville has been cancelled. BQM is writing Smallville S11, a comic continuation of the story. It's probably the best Superman book being written right now IMO anyways(far better than the Smallville TV show), and Steph being added means everyone should be reading it.

Fair enough. The calligraphic picture says, Bereishit, Hebrew for, "in the beggining/at the head." It's the first word of the Book of Genesis and the Hebrew name for the Book of Genesis.
The second, scrawled phrase says, zayin b'ayin, or, literally, penis in your (an) eye. A curse, obviously.
Now the message going around is that it's all deactivated blogs. I don't know if that's accurate, since I didn't think I was following any, but it might be.

Now I’m looking around the interwubz and am finding out about this whole new 52 reshuffle-shuffle-boot deal, which kind of puts me off (partly due to the cheesecakeification of Starfire). Are there any comics in this reboot that you’d recommend?
Seriously, try Demon Knights, Wonder Woman, and All-Star Western. They’re each a different style, but all 3 are the best things to come out of the reboot, and Demon Knights is incredible in terms of representation.
I tried out Demon Knights back at #1, but I felt it was too scattered, and I kind of hate Etrigan, so that wasn't really going to work for me. Too bad, because Vandal Savage is awesome. Wonder Woman is a possibility, maybe? I've heard good things about it, but I've never been interested in Wonder Woman. And All-Star Western is right out, 'cuz I can't stand Westerns. The only thing with cowboy hats that I enjoy is Blazing Saddles, and that's only 'cuz it subverts the whole shebang.
