I matched at my #1 residency!! Omg this is so surreal. A lot of work lays ahead of me but I HAVE A JOB!! And my husband doesn't have to quit his job! I'm simply ecstatic. Guess I'll have to change my tumblr name soon cause this girl is leaving med school for residency 😍
Oh the joys of being a medical student

So now I wait patiently until March 15th when I'll find out IF I match and then until March 19th when I'll find out WHERE I match.
Medical school is fun and totally not stressful at all 🙃
IM VACCINATED AND I WANT TO SCREAM IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!! Cant wait for my second dose in 3 weeks!
PSA: if you go to the ER (in the US), you will likely have to wait. Hospitals are cutting costs and making sure they have as few staff as possible to function since many of the money making elective surgeries this year have been canceled. It’s a good thing to wait. It means you’re not dying.
I’ve had so many people say “FINALLY, SOMEONES HERE!” As I enter the room, and some of the more tactless screaming from the hallway that they NEED a gingerale.
Let me be clear. You do NOT want to be the patient that we rush to as soon as they come in the door. You do NOT want to be the patient surrounded by three nurses, two respiratory techs, a doctor, and me. Those people are actively dying and don’t have the luxury of waiting like you do. I’m sorry that someone hasn’t been in to turn off the beeping, we were busy trying to save a life.
Be patient, be kind, and be understanding. We want to help you, and we will, but we treat the sickest people first. If you’re last, be grateful for your good health.
