Star Empire is a garbage company that can’t do a damn thing right.

They had a fully-formed new girl group ready to go, OMZM, based around their Produce 101 girls; Han Hyeri, Kim Yunji, and Kang Sihyeon. They had also added another PD101 trainee, Shim Chaeeun, from Starship Entertainment after the show ended. In addition, there was a fifth girl by the name of Jueun, though we hadn’t fully found out about her yet.

In January, Yunji’s image was removed from all of OMZM’s official SNS accounts. Then a Korean netizen said they had found out that Yunji, Chaeeun, and Jueun all left Star Empire.

Then today Star Empire canceled OMZM’s debut and shut down all their SNS accounts and the fancafe.

Come ON, man. Even when Star Empire is given a straight-up GOLDMINE in terms of popularity with Han Hyeri, they still manage to fuck the whole thing up. On the other hand, I guess I’m glad the girls that did get out of Star Empire did so, and I kinda hope Sihyeon does, too. Go somewhere you’ll be appreciated and treated right. Unfortunately, Hyeri signed an exclusive contract already, so she can’t leave. Poor girl.

I’m honestly afraid that this is how most Produce 101 groups are gonna end up. It hasn’t exactly been stellar to this point (outside of the hype for PRISTIN). It’s a damn shame, because there was so much talent on that show. But for now, I’m just super angry at Star Empire, because they’re garbage and have shown it time and time again. ugh
