I am all fleeting glances and daydreams. It's spring, the sun makes us reckless. I put my agonies aside. He brings me fever and delight. Some wind brings him to me. And upon nearer view, he's my heart's highest need. My name leaves his lips, he slips his fingers through my ribs. His eyes linger on me with each laugh.
Beautiful is the light that's peeking behind the curtains. I blame the season, and this last breath of youth. I blame his gaze and his voice. He's looking down as he walks. And I risk a wish. That he may see no one else.
He paces in circles in my mind. Flying or falling. I'll know once I meet the ground.
