I have never encountered an asian himbo quite like on dal before
For someone who rarely enjoys period pieces, I’m absolutely loving River Where the Moon Rises! Maybe it’s because I already knew the story from before. Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo make the perfect Princess Pyeong Gang and On Dal, and I’m already loving their chemistry and loyalty to each other. But I would literally die for Go Gun and Hae Mo Yong at this point! I honestly can’t get enough of them and I’m so excited to see their tension and chemistry played out in the rest of the storyline.

This unexpected development actually made me want to watch this KBS drama even more. I have nothing against Ji Soo but long before the news of his alleged bullying even came out, I wasn’t really sold on him in the role of On Dal, simply because to me, his looks and mannerisms just seem too modern. And he kind of looks too gentle for the character. I was more excited to watch Kang Ha-neul as his father.
Now that “Mr. Queen” is over, I can shift to this drama. And I did like Na In Woo in that drama so it would be nice to finally see him now in a lead role. I do think he can pull it off.
